kevin nowlan

He started his career at Marvel in 1982, penciling a fill-in issue of Doctor Strange and a handful of Moon Knight stories. Since then he has worked as an inker on high profile projects like Batman: The Sword Of Azrael, Superman/Aliens and more recently Superman: The Last Days Of Luthor, but his personal favorites are the covers and stories he’s penciled, inked, colored and hand lettered: Jack B. Quick, Boy Inventor (co-created and scripted by Alan Moore), Grimwood’s Daughter, The Secret Origin of Man-Bat, Batman Black and White: Monsters In The Closet, Hellboy: Buster Oakley Gets His Wish, and Immortal Hulk: A Little Fire.
Kevin was born in the panhandle of Nebraska but has lived in Central Kansas since 1968. His older brother Mike’s hotrod and monster drawings were an early inspiration as well as the art of Neal Adams, Alex Toth, Gil Kane, Bernie Wrightson and Bob Oksner.
