While many naturally associate Stig Rossen with grand musical theater stages, he holds a truly special place in the world of animation and pop culture: he is the voice behind some of the most defining moments in the Danish adaptations of legendary animated adventures.
For an entire generation of geeks, animation buffs, and Disney fans, his resonant voice is pure nostalgia. It was Stig who taught us what it takes to “Make a Man Out of You” as Captain Li Shang in Mulan, and it was his booming presence that brought the fearsome alien Captain Gantu to life in Lilo & Stitch.
He also delivered the powerful vocals for Phil Collins’ iconic soundtrack on the Danish release of Tarzan, gave weight and warmth to Chief Tui in Moana, and voiced characters across projects ranging from The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian to Marvel productions and modern animated gems like Raya and the Last Dragon.
Add a string of delightfully self-deprecating guest appearances in Danish TV series, and you have a versatile entertainer with an incredible pop-culture legacy.
Now, he steps out of the recording booth and onto the Comic Con stage.
Join us for an engaging Q&A exploring his craft behind the microphone, the art of dubbing, and the legendary characters-and songs-he has brought to life across decades.
